The domestic league highest scorer has poured cold water on reports linking him with a report away from Sai Masu Gida presently

Kano Pillars attacker, Junior Lokosa has denied reports linking him to Enyimba and Al Hilal of Sudan.

The striker has been in awesome form since the start of the current season and asserted that he and his representatives won’t rush into any transfer negotiations for now.

“I am just hearing it as rumours and when I read about it in newspapers and online that Enyimba and Al Hilal have made inquiries about me and that Kano Pillars have turned them down I just laughed it off,” Lokosa told Goal.

“If I must tell you the truth, I am not interested in signing any deal now as we speak. I have told my representative that we shouldn’t rush anything.

I want to be patient till the start of the transfer windows in Europe after the World Cup and I know that I will get a club that gladdens my heart then. I want to continue to do what I am doing presently (scoring goals) because I don’t want to rush anything.”

The attacker, however, confirmed interests from clubs in Egypt, Tunisia, and Algeria but that he has directed his representatives to keep everything on hold so that they don’t go into hasty transfer deal that won’t be rewarding and lucrative to him.

“I know that clubs from Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt have contacted my representatives but I have told them not to negotiate with any club on my behalf for now," he continued.

“I want to take my time and pick the one that will be best for me. There are lots of offers but we shall screen them one after the other.

“Europe is still my preferred destination and it is the reason I want to hold on until the start of the transfer window there in July.”

The former First Bank attacker has scored 16 league goals for Sai Masu Gida from 18 games.
