Carlos Kameni masterclass vs. Barcelona: Africa's weekend highlight

Carlos Kameni was in top form against Barcelona again as Malaga caused a major upset by stunning defending champions 2-0 at La Rosaleda on Saturday.

This was the second consecutive time that the Cameroonian gloveman has managed to prevent Barca from scoring against him in a single season, having also kept a clean sheet at the Camp Nou in November 2016.

This was Kameni’s fifth clean sheet against Barca in La Liga, with the other four shutouts all coming from matches played in Catalonia. Despite their usual dominance with possession, Barca -who had Neymar sent off - failed to breach Kameni, with the keeper responsible for several fine stops.

Sandro Ramírez and Jony were the goalscorers for the home side.

Samuel Eto'o

It was also a good day for another Cameroonian, Samuel Eto’o, who netted his 11th goal of the season in Antalyaspor’s 1-1 draw at Genclerbirligi.

The 36-year-old was also on the scoresheet in last weekend’s 2-1 win over Kayserispor and he is not showing any signs of slowing down.

In Turkey, Vincent Aboubakar came off the bench to score once again as Super Lig leaders Beşiktas won Saturday's thriller 4-3 against Trabzonspor.

The 25-year-old headed home his seventh of the campaign from an Oguzhan Ozyakup cross shortly after the restart.
