Kakamega Homeboyz targeting AFC Leopards scalp

It seems things are not going to be easy for coach Stewart Hall anytime soon after the sentiments from Andrew Kulecho

AFC Leopards have not had an easy time as far as Kenyan Premier League is concerned, collecting just two points from the last five matches.

It seems things are not going to be easy for coach Stewart Hall anytime soon after the sentiments made by one Andrew Kulecho, who says his team Kakamega Homeboyz is prepared to bag maximum points when they take on the thirteen times league champions on Saturday.

Shimanyula: Homeboyz will beat AFC Leopards by more than five goals

"We are prepared for them (Leopards), and all we want is a win. They have not been in a great shape and we want to take advantage of that. It is a fact, they are desperate for a win, and that pressure might work against them. We will play our game and take our chances," Kulecho told Goal on Thursday.

The player's sentiments come just hours after club chairman Cleophas Shimanyula also warned Ingwe to expect a thrashing on Saturday. Homeboyz hammered Ingwe 4-1 in the corresponding fixture last season and Shimanyula now says they will surpass the result as they strive to stamp their authority as the best team from ‘Western region.’

“We respect them because they have good players and started the season well but we must take three points from them. I foresee a situation where we will beat them by more than five goals. We always like playing against AFC Leopards and that is why the date for this fixture is keenly followed by everyone at Homeboyz.”

Tenth placed Kakamega Homeboyz have 14 points from three wins, five draws and three defeats.
