John Terry has spoken in depth about what Chelsea's achievements mean to him in his final season at Stamford Bridge, after he initially signed for the club as a 14-year-old.
The Chelsea captain has made more than 700 appearances for the Premier League champions, winning 15 major honours with the club as their captain, after most recently securing a fifth league title in Friday's match away to West Bromwich Albion.

However, Terry almost left Chelsea last summer when his contract was expiring with the club in tenth place. After committing to one more season, Terry admits that he is delighted to leave the club while they are top of the league.
"Chelsea FC, Champions 2016/17," Terry said as he opened his second-to-last programme notes in Chelsea's match day issue ahead of their home game versus Watford. "What an unbelievable feeling and, believe me, it just gets better and better.
"I’m so proud of this team and all the players and management for all the hard work, effort and sacrifices everyone has made this season. On a personal note, I can’t tell you how important it is to me to have the chance to celebrate my fifth title at the end of my last season as a Chelsea player.

"It’s a dream ending for me, and with the FA Cup final still to come, it could turn out to be one of the greatest seasons in the club’s history. If I could have written my story as a 14-year-old, when I signed on the pitch, this would have been it. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart."
Terry will lift the Premier League title in his final game at Stamford Bridge on Sunday against Sunderland.
