Jesse Were on target as Zesco United roar to huge win

Kenyan striker Jesse Were was on target as Zesco United hammered Nchanga Rangers 4-1 in a league match played on Saturday.

The former Tusker striker found the back of the net in the 14th minute to put the Team Ya Ziko ahead in a match played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Lazarus Kombole then doubled the lead for the former league champions before he added the third at the stroke of half time.

On resumption, Idriss Mbombo scored the fourth goal to condemn Nchanga to a heavy defeat. The win pushed Zesco United, who have two other Kenyans - David Owino and Anthony Akumu - to second spot on the log after two rounds of matches.
