Alex Iwobi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have wished their Arsenal teammate Danny Welbeck well after suffering an injury in their 0-0 stalemate with Sporting Lisbon in Thursday’s Europa League game.

The England international was forced off at the half-hour mark after he landed awkwardly on his ankle while contesting with Sporting’s Bruno Gaspar and had Aubameyang take his place.

Although it is yet unknown for how long the forward will be sidelined, however, the Nigeria and Gabon internationals have taken to the social media to wish their colleague quick recovery.

"Doesn’t always go your way, but we will always fight. Thank you for your support again. Wishing my bro Danny Welbeck a speedy recovery,” Iwobi posted on Instagram.

“Get well soon my brother Danny Welbeck,” Aubameyang wrote on Instagram.
