Luter Iyorhe reveals that Lobi Stars target, at least, a top-four finish in the Nigerian topflight.
The Pride of Benue are 11th on the log after gathering 23 points from 17 games."The league is a marathon and we are not losing up on challenging for the top places on the league table," Iyorhe told Goal.
"It is a top-four finish if [we are] not winning the league this season for us and we know it's possible."
In their last league encounter, Ibrahim Babawo scored twice to hand Niger Tornadoes the lead but Iyorhe, on as a substitute, grabbed a late consolation goal as his side were defeated 2-1 at the Confluence Stadium.
"We lost because we couldn't take our chances [against Niger Tornadoes]," he said.
"We'll take the result but we could have gotten something at the end. It was painful we lost because we had our moment in the game.
"It was a game of two halves. Tornadoes were all over us in the first half but we came out stronger in the second half.
"We were more determined with a different approach and tactics after we had some pep talks with our coaches but the goals couldn't come despite creating goal scoring chances.
"We took the game way from them in the second half but they [Niger Tornadoes] were the better side because they took their chances to win the game," he concluded.
