'It is not over' - Bala Nikyu upbeat about Wikki Tourists survival

Wikki Tourists new coach Bala Nikyu insists he will do everything to help his team escape relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The Bauchi based side sit one place above the foot of the log no thanks to 10 defeats suffered this season and the former Katsina United gaffer has vowed to rescue the relegation-bound side.

"It was okay here at Wikki. The good thing is that the way I saw the boys," Nikyu told Goal.

"I see they are in a good spirit and ther won't be much problem. I'm happy returning to the team again and I'm confident we make good success.

"Being 19th on the log is not a serious challenge because I've seen teams that are 19th on the table but finish within the top three at the end of the season.

"They still have lot of matches in the second round to play and I believe will get seriously prepared for all the matches. I think everything to be fine.

"Getting battle ready for Abia Warriors on Sunday, I believe we are going to fight  with weapons. This is football and I know too well that taking your game at it go is the best strategy to win.

"For the fans, I know nobody we will be happy when you see their team down. I want to encourage them not to feel like it is over.

"It is not over at all because we have 19 games to play in the second stanza and we won't be surprise if we finish comfortably at the end of the season."
