The Jamshedpur FC shot-stopper could well be turning out for the reigning champions next season...

Indian Super League (ISL) champions Chennaiyin FC are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping contingent by securing the services of Sanjiban Ghosh.

The 26-year-old custodian, who was the second choice behind Subrata Paul for Jamshedpur FC in the recently concluded ISL, is in advanced talks with Chennaiyin FC, Goal can confirm.

Ghosh made just one appearance for Jamshedpur FC in the ISL last season when he came on in the ninth minute against FC Goa in what was their final league game of the season. Though he could not prevent a defeat in that game, Ghosh would go on to prove his worth in the Super Cup Round of 16 win over Minerva Punjab, saving a crucial spot-kick in the penalty shootouts.

Ghosh has previously turned out for the likes of Mumbai FC in the I-League and Delhi Dynamos in the ISL. He is expected to be an able deputy to the in-form Karanjit Singh at Chennaiyin FC.
