ISL 2017-18: Kerala Blasters bring back Victor Pulga

The Yellow Army have turned to a familiar face to try and rescue their season...

Kerala Blasters have signed up for the services of Spanish midfielder Victor Pulga for the rest of the Indian Super League (ISL) season. The 32-year-old makes a return to Blasters after spending the first two seasons of ISL in yellow colours.

Victor Herrero Forcada made 15 appearances for Blasters over two seasons. The second minute strike in a 1-5 defeat to FC Goa in 2015 is his only goal so far for the club but the player was regarded as an important asset in midfield during his tenure in Kochi.

Pulga also knows head coach David James from his first season with Blasters. After leaving the ISL club, the Spaniard plied his trade at Spanish third tier team Rayo Majadahonda and later played a few games for Bolivian club Nacional Potosi before turning a free agent a few months ago.

Victor Pulga is expected to be the replacement for Keziron Kizito, who is set to leave after picking up a long-term shoulder injury.
