Terengganu head coach Irfan Bakti Abu Salim was not a happy man, despite his men's 1-0 victory over PDRM in their Premier League match on Friday.
He was particularly alarmed at his side's failure to stick to their gameplans, towards the end of the match.
"We played well in the first half, but in the second we had to defend our slim lead. In the last 15 minutes we lost our shape, everything.
"We were lucky that PDRM did not create any open chances in that time.
"It may be due to the fact that it is our first match of the season, and we were a bit too tense in the search for three points," explained the coach during the post-match press conference.
Irfan was also unhappy at his forwards' failure to finish their chances in the match.
"Danial (Ferris Danial Nasir), Issey [Nakajima-Farran] were nervous, they should not have been so anxious (in front of the goal).
"Hopefully they will improve in the next game," said Irfan.
And speaking on their next match, against Premier League newcomers MISC-MIFA, the experienced head coach has also warned his men against complacency, although he told the press he knows how to take on MIFA.
"Although I know what it takes to beat MIFA, I want my players to not take the match lightly, not to be complacent and too casual. There is no easy game," asserted the 65-year old coach.
Terengganu defeated PDRM 1-0 at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium on Friday, thanks to Sharin Sapien's 33rd-minute goal. Although the match was played on Premier League matchday two, it was the Turtles' first match played this season as their previous match, against PKNP FC had to be suspended due to torrential rain.
