Manchester United and Arsenal might be interested in the 20-year-old full-back, but he's not in a rush to leave his boyhood club

Celtic defender Kieran Tierney may have been linked with a move to the Premier League, but he has insisted that he is delighted with where he is currently.

The Hoops won a seventh successive Premiership title on Sunday, defeating bitter rivals Rangers 5-0 at home, and stand just a Scottish Cup final victory over Motherwell away from claiming their second treble in as many years.

Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with the 20-year-old in the recent past, but the lifelong Celtic fan is in no hurry to leave Glasgow’s east end.

“I think every Celtic fan visualises doing something like this and I’m just lucky enough to live it for them all. I’m making the most of it and enjoying every second,” he told the club’s official website.

After losing to Hibs a week earlier, he believes that Brendan Rodgers’ side more than made up for it with their derby efforts.

“Winning like we did was a perfect way to clinch the league title,” he said. “We were disappointed with the result last week so to bounce back and win in style like that in front of all your fans in a derby match is brilliant.

“We went out and we were so clinical. Right from the start we just dominated. We don’t allow the pressure in games to affect us. We think about what can happen if we win. We always look to play our way and if we turn up and do that, we’ll win.”

Tierney’s words will be music to the ears of Celtic fans, particularly after Rodgers affirmed his commitment to the club after being linked with the Arsenal role.
