Ihezuo powers Biik Kazygurt into Uefa Women's Champions League Round of 16

Chinwendu Ihezuo's lone strike powered BIIK Kazygurt into the Uefa Women's Champions League round of 16 despite losing 4-1 to Glasgow City on Thursday.

Having held a 3-0 first leg lead, the forward's goal was all the visitors required to advance on away goals despite the Scottish outfit comeback win at Petershill Park.

The 20-year-old got her side the vital away goal in the 19th minute before her Kazakhstan side bowed to Abbi Grant's hat-trick and Noelle Murray's strike.

It was the former Falconets star's third goal in five matches of the competition since her strike led them to the round of 32 last year, and now the result will see them feature in the last 16.

They will know their next opponents in Monday's round of 16 draws with first leg encounter slated for November 9 and return leg a week later.
