The former Akwa United midfielder opened his goal account in the Austria topflight to help the Violets to their fifth triumph this term

Ibrahim Alhassan scored his first goal for Austria Wien in their 2-0 victory over Altach in Sunday’s Austrian Bundesliga clash at Franz Horr Stadium.

The midfielder broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute after he powered home a cross off Thomas Salamon to give Thomas Parits’ men the lead.

Kevin Friesenbichler then increased the scoreline for the home team in the 87th minute.

The visitors finished the encounter with ten men after Philipp Netzer was given his marching order in the 82nd minute.

The Nigeria international's has played three games in the Austrian topflight since his move from Nigeria Professional Football League side, Akwa United.

He will be hoping to continue with this sort of form when the Violets square up with Sturm Graz at Liebenauer Stadium, after the international break, on October 15.
