I have always wanted to play for Liverpool, says Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has revealed that he had always wanted to play for Liverpool claiming he loved the club since he was a teenager.

The 25-year-old joined Chelsea in January 2014 in his first season in England but failed to flourish scoring just twice in 19 competitive games.

And in the summer of 2017, the former Roma goal poacher teamed up with the Anfield giants and has gone to make a remarkable impact at the Anfield Stadium.

The forward who has scored 28 goals in all competitions this term including his two goals against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday has declared that he has always fancy playing for the Reds.

 “I have loved the club since I was young and knew this was a team I wanted to play for,” Salah told FourFourTwo.

“I knew the history this club has and, as soon as I got the chance, I had to make it happen.”

The Africa Player of the Year also revealed his feeling watching the Champions League as a teenager.

“My earliest football memory was watching the Champions League matches. I always loved watching Zidane, (his future Roma team-mate) Totti and the Brazilian Ronaldo.

“It’s an amazing feeling when you hear that music now before kick-off.”
