Humphrey Mieno has vowed to win more trophies with new club Gor Mahia.

The towering Mieno signed for the Kenyan champions on a three year contract after being released by Tusker a week ago. Mieno was among 14 players axed by the outgoing champions.

Mieno has promised to give 100% and earn a place in the team’s starting eleven next season. “I am not here to fill the numbers, I want to give 100% and earn my place in the team. Gor Mahia is a big club and I want that name to remain up there by winning more trophies," Mieno told the club's official website.

Gor Mahia will represent Kenya in the Caf Champions League and have been drawn to face Leones Vegetarianos of Equatorial Guinea. The Kenyan champions will host Leones Vegetarianos between February 9-11, 2018, for the first leg match before traveling to Equatorial Guinea for the return leg a week later.

The return leg will be hosted between February 16 and 18. The winner between Gor Mahia and Vegetarianos will meet the winner between ASAC Concorde of Mauritania and Etoile du Sahil from Tunisia in the first round.
