Hearts coach Nuttall blames players after Dreams FC defeat

Hearts of Oak manager Frank Elliott Nuttall has blamed his players following their 2-1 defeat against Dreams FC in the final of the 2018 Ghalca G8 tournament played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians took an early lead through midfielder Daniel Kordie but two goals from Razak Cromwell and Leonard Owusu turned the game on its head against Nuttall's side.

“My impression is that we started the game fairly well. We were organised but to be honest, after we scored the first goal, I was disappointed with the attitude of my players," said Nuttall.

"They know I’ve told them that about attitudes during games and I have felt their reaction. We lost concentration and focus after we took the lead.

"At 1-0 in any game, the other team always has the chance of getting back in the game and that is what happened and this time. They even scored another goal to win the cup,” he added.

Hearts, who have failed to win any major trophy since 2009, lost the title in similar manner last year after Aduana Stars pipped them in Kumasi.
