Hattrick hero Stephen Odeh has improved, says MFM’s Onuwa

The attacking midfielder hailed the five-star performance of his teammate and also his positional awareness in and around opposition area

Chukwuka Onuwa has hailed the improvement in the game of Stephen Odey after he grabbed three goals in Mountain of Fire and Miracles FC’s 4-0 demolition of Lobi Stars at the Agege Township Stadium on Sunday.

The teenage sensation recorded the first hattrick of the new Nigeria Professional Football League 2016/17 season against Ezekiel Bala’s side

And the pint-sized midfield player, whose side, prior to the encounter, were dealt with by FC IfeanyiUbah in midweek, was more impressed by the way the striker found his form.

“I am not surprised about the performance. On the other hand, I’m a lot surprised because he really stepped up coming into this game,” Onuwa told Goal.

“I don’t know how he found that kind of spirit for this game. He really surprised me.”

Onuwa also said that the three goals highlighted the stroke of positional awareness the youngster has.
