Oduor believes that Kenya can wrestle Cecafa Challenge Cup title from Uganda when the regional games kicks-off on Sunday

New Harambee Stars call-up Chrispin Oduor believes that Kenya can wrestle Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup title from Uganda when the games kicks-off on Sunday.

Kenyan will kick-off her campaign against Rwanda on Sunday in Kakamega, but Oduor, a late call-up to the Stars squad, is optimistic that the Kenyans will sail past a tough Group A and hopefully lift the title on December 17.

“We are the hosts so anything besides winning the trophy will not look good enough. It is up to us to step up and win the title," the 30-year-old Oduor was quoted by his club’s official website.

Oduor, who is looking forward form a maiden national team debut, believes that he can replicate his form at the club that saw him finish as Mathare United top scorer with 11 goals last campaign.

“It is great to get a call-up. The national team and club are two different levels but I want to take my chance here. The coach is good so I hope everything goes well.

“It will be great if I can do that because it is my performance in the league that gave me this call-up. If I can maintain that it will be good for me and for the team too."
