Harambee Stars midfielder revels in cracking goal

Duncan Otieno's screamer in Kenya's win against Rwanda still remains the best in the 2017 Cecafa Challenge Cup

Duncan Otieno's screamer in Harambee Stars' 2-0 win against Rwanda's Amavubi still remains the best in the 2017 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.

Whyvonne Isuza teed up the midfielder, and with his right foot, the former Posta Rangers man unleashed an unstoppable shot that beat the opponent's custodian. Otieno says the goal is a confidence booster, and he hopes the team will go far in the competition.

"The goal! I am happy to have scored, usually I shoot but sometimes fail to hit the target, but this time round it was successful. But it was not an individual goal, it was a team goal because we had to rely on each other in order to score, it is more of a combined effort," Otieno told Goal.

The AFC Leopards star remains confident that Kenya will go far in the regional competition. “We are doing our best to get past the group stage and who knows! Our main target is to win this competition.”

Kenya will face Libya on Tuesday hoping to make it two wins in a row.
