GOtv Shield: Gor Mahia to face Bandari in round 32

Football Kenya Federation have released the second round GO tv shield fixtures with a total of 32 teams in action on the weekend of July 8 and 9.

Four out of six teams from Coast that registered for the tournament will be featuring in the second round with 2015 champions Bandari facing Gor Mahia in the top for the bill clash at Thika Stadium on July 9 (Sunday).

Gor Mahia whitewashed Nairobi Water 3-1 at Thika Stadium while Bandari bundled out Uwezo Academy with a similar score line at Machakos Stadium in the first round matches played last weekend. Modern Coast Rangers, who earned a bye into second round after Dream Academy pulled out, will face Kenya Premier League side Nakumatt in another pressure cooker at Thika Stadium on Saturday (July 8).

Mwatate United from Taita Taveta County entertain Butterfly from Thika at Wundanyi Stadium on the same Saturday as Young Divers from Kilifi host Eldoret Youth at KPA Mbaraki Sports Club the following day on Sunday. Mwatate United and Young Divers advanced to the second round following the withdrawal of Kenya Police from Nairobi and Thika United respectively.

GOtv Shield fixtures: Saturday, July 8: Nakumatt vs Modern Coast Rangers (Machakos Stadium), Mwatate United vs Butterfly (Wundanyi Stadium), Sunday: Gor Mahia vs Bandari (Thika stadium) and Young Divers vs Eldoret Youth (KPA Mbaraki).
