Gor Mahia could do without their dependable striker against AFC Leopards on Sunday

Gor Mahia and Rwandese striker Jacques Tuyisenge is doubtful to face AFC Leopards in ‘Mashemeji’ derby on Sunday.

The forward is being monitored by K’Ogalo’s medical staff after he aggravated an injury picked during their defeat to Mathare United last weekend.

A source within the club has told Goal that head coach Ze Maria is worried that Tuyisenge could miss the decisive match. "Tuyisenge aggravated the same injury he picked last week and he might sit out of the derby. Doctors are monitoring his situation but to be honest the injury doesn't look good."

Gor Mahia cannot afford to lose the match if they have to pile pressure on Posta Rangers, who are currently on top of the Kenyan Premier League table from eight matches.

On the other hand, AFC Leopards head coach Stewart Hall, will be a happy man if he beats the Green Army being on the touchline in ‘Mashemeji’ derby for the first time.
