Gor Mahia wants to make amends after crashing out of the Caf Confederation Cup by lifting the FKF Shield title.
Coach Dylan Kerr, who successfully defended the league title with six games to go, has vowed to complete a double by dethroning AFC Leopards from the Shield throne.
K’Ogalo were knocked of the continental showpiece after falling 2-1 to USM Alger, their only fourth defeat in a competitive fixture this season.
Gor Mahia will return to the local scene with a game against 2017 Shield losing finalists Kariobangi Sharks in the quarter-final on Sunday.
Kerr termed the game a must-win.
"My main aim now is to keep winning with these great players and make sure that Gor Mahia fans are happy. We have a Shield Cup to fight for and we are going for it. We must win and win before the season ends," Kerr told Goal.
