Gor Mahia defender: The difference between Ze Maria and Dylan Kerr

New Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has registered two straight wins in Kenyan Premier League since taking charge.

The tactician took over from Brazilian Ze Maria, who quit the fifteen times league champions for Albanian side KF Tirana. K'Ogalo defender Karim Nizigiyimana has revealed the difference between the two coaches and their input in the team.

"Both are good tacticians, they understand the game well and the most important thing is that they are focused on helping us win matches.

"Well, with Maria, he preferred short, quick passes and with the formation, we some times struggled at the back. Playing with three defenders was not easy and every time we were on toes," Nizigiyimana told Goal.

"For Kerr (Dylan), we try different approach, a mixture of long and short passes and the 4-4-2 formation is effective as far as I am concerned. His emphasis is on scoring as many goals as possible and we are working on that."

Gor Mahia are leading the Kenyan Premier League table with 34 points, one more than second placed Posta Rangers.
