Gor Mahia coach targets win in league debut

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has set sight on a winning his first Kenyan Premier League match against Nakumatt FC.

The Englishman, who took charge of Gor Mahia during the friendly against Everton FC, will make his league debut against the newbie at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday. Though Kerr doesn’t know much of what to expect in the domestic competition, he remains optimistic of picking maximum points against the retailers.

"My system is to win the game to suit Gor Mahia and not our opponents," Kerr, who signed a two-year contract with Gor Mahia early this month, told Goal.

K'Ogalo are currently third on the league table behind leaders Ulinzi Stars and Posta Rangers. Ulinzi Stars lost 1-2 to Nzoia Sugar on Saturday while Posta Rangers will take on champions Tusker in another match on Sunday.

League debutants, Nakumatt stunned Gor Mahia in their last meeting, a GOtv Shield clash in 2015.
