According to multiple sources, who spoke to Goal from various locations, the jam started as far as Muthaiga Police station /Mathare Hospital-inbound, all the way to Githurai 45.

It took the intervention of USM Alger officials to play the role of the traffic cops by managing the snarl up as team buses bent the traffic rules just to beat the time.

The heavy downpour also had a significant effect on the attendance with Goal lenses spotting empty stands just a few moments to kick-off.
