'Good chemistry' rubbing off ‘confident’ Arsenal - Alex Iwobi on winning spree

The positive chemistry in Arsenal set-up is responsible for their impressive winning run, according to Alex Iwobi.

Unai Emery's side have had to overcome a difficult start to the 2018-19 campaign and, now, grabbed a 10th consecutive victory with Leicester City comeback win on Monday night.

The Gunners did so in style, scoring three fantastic goals courtesy Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang [2]. Iwobi also did cover himself in glory with a Man of the Match display.

The last time the Gunners enjoyed this sort of run was in 2007 and Iwobi said a repeat is as a result of the confidence and positivity within the squad.

“We're very confident, everyone is excited, not just in matches but in training everyone is together, the chemistry is good and you can see that in the matches as well,” Iwobi said after the game.

The Foxes went ahead in the game courtesy a Hector Bellerin own goal, after some nice work from Ben Chilwell.

But the Gunners equalised through Ozil before the break and secured victory with a three-minute brace from substitute Aubameyang.

“Leicester had a few chances but it shows that we have a winning mentality and were strong throughout the game and were able to withstand that and come out with another victory.”

On Leicester's penalty call, the Nigeria international said: “Honestly, you're testing my memory, I can't remember! But it wasn't given so that's good luck on our side.”

Next up for Arsenal is a Europa League tie against Sporting Cp in Portugal on Thursday.
