Go Round's Nelsor Ezor believes his team can upset the Federation Cup champions Akwa United when both sides meet in a Nigerian top-flight encounter in Uyo.
Prior to Wednesday's clash at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, the new boys had defeated the Promise Keepers in their first ever top-flight meeting back in January through Adelani Adeseun's first-half strike.
Having subdued Wikki Tourist two weeks ago in Omoku, Ngozi Elechi's side are desperate gain vital away points against Abdu Maikaba's side in the quest to climb out of the relegation places.
And Esor feels his mates are capable of doing the impossible as they are fully prepared and determined to upstage the Uyo outfit.
“It is a big game and we are all looking forward to the match against Akwa United," Esor told Goal.
"We've not done badly for ourselves this season when we look at how far we've come but we must continue to prove our doubters' wrong that we have what it takes to compete in the [Nigeria topflight].
"Akwa United are like any other team in the league, though they have a lot of quality players I believe we still have a chance to get something against them in Uyo if we play with great determination and team spirit.
"We defeated them at the early start of the season and we are capable of doing it again. They underrated us in the first leg in Omoku and we gave them a big surprise. We have a better team now and are ready to shock them at home."
Before Akwa's tie, Go Round are 17th on the log with 26 points from 21 games and would hope for at least a point to move them out of the drop zone.
