Ghana U-17 captain Ayiah gets Black Stars B call-up

Striker Eric Ayiah will join the home-based senior team for a friendly against Togo this weekend

Eric Ayiah's good showing at the recent Africa Under-17 Cup of Nations in Gabon has received unarguably its biggest reward yet after being called up to the local Black Stars set up.

The frontman is expected to join up with the home-based outfit on Friday ahead of an international friendly with Togo this weekend.

"Black Starlets captain Eric Ayiah has been called to the Black Stars 'B' as they intensify preparations for their upcoming CHAN qualifiers," the Ghana Football Association has announced.

"Ayiah, who recently led the national U-17 to 2nd place at African championships, is expected to join the home based senior national team for their upcoming friendly game against their Togolese counterparts this weekend.

"The pacy forward who is preparing for the FIFA U 17 World Cup in October, will switch camp to the senior side on Friday in Prampram."

At Gabon 2017, Ayiah hit four goals to finish as the tournament second top scorer.
