Ghana coach Paa Kwesi Fabin wants to begin the 2017 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations with three points against Cameroon on Sunday.
In Group A, the Black Starlets take on the Indomitable Lions at Stade de Franceville, shortly after the other group game between hosts Gabon and Guinea, which officially opens the two-week tournament.
“I had the opportunity to watch Cameroon,” Fabin told the media.
“I have also watched Gabon but unfortunately I have been unable to watch Guinea.
“I have spoken to the boys and they know what is ahead of them.
“We will do everything possible to win our first game to boost our chances in the competition.
“It's just one game at a time and we are looking forward to our game against Cameroon.”
Ghana, two-time winners of the competition, then play Gabon on May 17 before facing Guinea three days later.
Sunday's match marks the Black Starlets' return to the continental championship after a four-year absence.
The top four teams at the tournament qualify for the world championship to be held in India later this year.
