Football Kenya Federation has named a provisional squad of 33 players to begin preparation for preliminary round of U-20 women’s Fifa 2018 World Cup qualifier in Botswana.

The squad, mostly made up of players drawn from High School, will however, have some familiar faces like Harambee Starlets and Soccer Queens midfielder Corazone Aquino, Starlets call up, Lilian Awuor, who is still in School at Nyakach Girls and Foscah Nashivanda of Vihiga Leeds.

Kenya will kick the fixtures away in Gaborone on the weekend of July 21, 22 or 23, 2017, with the return leg set for between August 4/5 or 6 – 2017 in Nairobi. Winner between Kenya and Botswana after the two-legged fixture will proceed to the first round where they will play Ethiopia.

Seeded Ethiopia was given a bye to the next round and will sit out of the preliminary round. The team is expected to report to camp in Machakos, on July 9, 2017. Africa will send two teams to the games set to be staged in France next year.

Forwards: Amunyolete, Rachael Mwema, Sharon Adhiambo, Cynthia Shilwatso, Diana Wacera, Christine Kitaru, Tereza Engesha, Lilian Mmboga, Mercy Airo, Christine Ngoizi, Foscah Nashivanda, Gentrix Shikangwa, Tumaini Waliaula and Majoline Nekesa.
