Fingers crossed as FKF set to announce KPL trio’s fate

As you are aware Football Kenya Federation’s (FKF) Independent and Disciplinary Appeals Committee (IDAC) directed that the three aforementioned clubs, all of whom did not meet the club licensing threshold, be accorded a second chance to resubmit their documents, following their appeals.

Subsequently the clubs were given a total of three working days beginning Friday, January 27, 2016 to Tuesday, January 31, 2016 to resubmit their documents.

In this perspective, FKF wishes to state that all three clubs namely Sofapaka FC, Muhoroni Youth FC and Thika United FC resubmitted their documents within the set timeline and that the FKF’s Independent Club Licensing Committee is in the process of evaluating the same and are expected to decide on the issue latest tomorrow, Thursday, February 2, 2017 by 4pm.

Once the process is concluded FKF will hold a press briefing and/or issue a statement on the way forward in regard to the issue at hand.

The venue and time of the press briefing will be communicated in due course.
