EXTRA TIME: How Africa reacted to Bafana and Super Eagles draw

The draw between Bafana Bafana and the Super Eagles means that Nigeria are already through to the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in 2019.
South Africa will need to avoid defeat away to Libya to confirm their place. The Super Eagles won't need to beat Seychelles in their last game but a win will place them at the top of the group.
Early in the game Buhle Mkhwanazi scored an own goal to give Nigeria the lead. The equaliser was created by Percy Tau who spun into space in the box and then fed Lebo Mothiba for an easy tap in.

You can read the fans Twitter reactions from Nigeria and South Africa right here. We can also see some videos which underlined that there were more Nigerian supporters than South Africans at the stadium about two hours before kickoff.
Perhaps the Super Eagles fans were just more visible with their flags and shirts, a trend which the home media found embarrassing to admit.
It may be just two hours before kick off, but early signs at the FNB Stadium suggest that today the Nigerians will outnumber the South Africans in the stands 🙈 #BafanaBafana #Afcon2019Q #SAvsNGA pic.twitter.com/LsyEFIzooj

That was offside. Musa was in an offside position, moved back onside then he was the one who ran on to the ball, offsides commentators...

If WE don’t support OUR country, then people from which other country will support us? We don’t believe in ourselves.
Very surprised to see Baxter make just one change today. Felt the game could’ve used an Ndlovu, Pule or Maboe to tilt the balance. It was hot out there.

I have a genuine question here 😌: as part of the goal bonuses promised by the Nigerian Federation for this game, is Mkhwanazi getting his R350k bonus for scoring for the Super Eagles?😰😂😂😎 #RSANGA. #AFCON2019

The ref robbed the #Super_eagles! That second goal that was disallowed should have stayed! I hope the Libyans are ready to give S-Africans a fight for qualification!

So far there's only $25 000 in the Nigeria players' kitty. Didn't hear anyone promise Bafana cash for goals against Naija. Bafana 1-1 Nigeria #AFCON2019Q

Naija didn’t beat Bafana in these qualifiers yet they just booked their place in Cameroon... that’s football for you...
