EXTRA TIME: 'Helau!' Balogun joins in Mainz carnival

The Super Eagles defender took a day off training to join the Germans celebrate the fifth season of the year

Helau Mainz! Mainz defender Leon Balogun joined his city, Mainz to celebrate the annual carnival on Rose Monday - a day that climax the German carnival.

Balogun who is yet to play for Mitchel Schmidt's team this year, picked up a red card in a game for Mainz II against Preussen Munster on Saturday as he continues his fitness test back to top form.

The 28-year-old shared his costume of a camouflage hooded shirt with a green cap as he posed for a picture with fans.
