EXTRA TIME: Gueye, Souare, Balde celebrate Senegal’s Independence Day

English Premier League trio Idrissa Gueye, Ndiaye Badou and Pape Souare, and Monaco attacker Keita Balde have taken to social media to celebrate Senegal’s 58th Independence anniversary.

Senegal gained its independence from France after breaking away from the Mali Federation – a merger with French Sudan on April 4, 1960.

And the country’s football stars have joined the rest of the nation in marking the liberation from their colonial masters.
