EXTRA TIME: Asisat Oshoala rings closing bell at Nigeria Stock Exchange

The three-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year closed the Nigerian stock market on Friday

The Nigerian Stock Exchange honoured Nigeria international Asisat Oshoala with a closing gong ceremony on February 9, following her outstanding achievements in football.

The closing bell, a regular act in the Nigerian Stock Exchange, signifies the end of trading session for a business day and it's occassionally done by business leaders and reputable individuals who have impacted the country's economy.

The Dalian Quanjian forward becomes the second Nigerian football figure to be honoured with the closing gong gesture after Sunday Oliseh in August 2015.

Oshoala whom with 12 goals finished as top scorer in the Women’s Chinese Super League last season was joined by the Chief Executive Officer of the NSE, Oscar Onyema.
