The former Gor Mahia defender has established himself in Georgia and pundits are confident in his abilities

Former Gor Mahia defender Eric ‘Marcelo’ Ouma has been listed among the best new players in Georgian Premier League in season 2017.

A review done by a top Georgian magazine has described the Kakamega High School alumnus as a key addition to FC Kolkheti-1913 Poti, a team he joined from K’Ogalo in January. "20-year-old defender Eric Otieno Ouma from Kenya is clearly outstanding (for Kolkheti Poti)," reported sportall.ge.

So far 'Marcelo' has been instrumental to Kolkheti making three assists in the seven matches played. With this stellar performance, the 20-year old has attracted interest from a number of Belgian and Russian top tier clubs plus a Turkish second tier side.

Currently, Kolkheti Poti stand at position eight with seven points on the log ahead of their encounter with Chikhura slated for Friday.
