England Betting: Harry Kane 7/4 to beat Rooney's England goals record after Croatia winner

After turning in yet another match-winning performance for England on Sunday afternoon, Harry Kane hit the 20-goal mark for his country and could be on course to break Wayne Rooney’s all-time record according to the bookmakers.

The Tottenham striker poked home in the 85th minute against Croatia – just seven minutes after assisting Jesse Lingard’s equaliser - to complete the Three Lions’ comeback.

His next three goals came across 13 appearances, reducing that figure down to 0.44, whilst Kane’s average currently sits at 0.57 per game – meaning he is on track to hit 54 strikes in his 95th game.

There is little doubt that the England captain will go on to play may more games for his country, having netted 15 goals in his last 18 matches including a hat-trick against Panama at the World Cup.

Like Rooney was, Kane is England’s penalty taker which will certainly help his tally, especially as he has already scored five times from the spot in his short international career whilst missing only once.
