Egypt coach Hector Cuper has invited 16 abroad-based players for games against Ghana and the United Arab Emirates in November.
The Pharaohs will play as guests to the Black Stars in Cape Coast on the final matchday of 2018 World Cup qualifying before facing the White Jersey in an international friendly three days later.
Four points at the top of Group E, Egypt have already secured the sole ticket for next year’s global showpiece in Russia.
But that has not prevented Cuper from calling up his best men as preparations for the World Cup has already begun.
In-form Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah headlines the squad, while Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny, Ramadan Sobhi of Stoke City and veteran goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary are all on the list.
Amr Warda, who plies his trade at Greek side Atromitos, returns to the team after missing last month’s tie against Uganda but Al Taawoun’s Mostafa Fathi has been excluded due to injury.
The local contingent of the squad will be named in the coming days.
