DP William Ruto dangles Sh50m carrot for Harambee Stars

Harambee Stars have been promised a hefty Sh 50 million if they qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Deputy President, William Ruto will cough out Sh 50million in addition to a team bus if Stars sail past Ghana and Ethiopia in the lengthy continental qualifiers.

“Sh10M more for the boys from @UKenyatta, thank you, sir, official Harambee Stars bus in the new year, 50M for the team to qualify for the cup of nations all via William Ruto,” FKF president Nick Mwendwa said in a post.

Kenya will host Ghana next March in the first round before traveling to Ethiopia. Stars are currently third in the Group with no point after losing the opening match to Sierra Leone away last June.

Ghana are top of the log with three points, same as Sierra Leone while Ethiopia are fourth.
