Deportivo La Coruna v Real Sociedad betting: Tight game unlikely to produce many goals

Real Sociedad began the weekend top of the La Liga table for the first time since 2003, with the Basques having recorded two wins from two and scoring six goals in the process.

While they needed a late penalty to win their first match 3-2 at Celta Vigo, the San Sebastian outfit were extremely dominant in beating Villarreal 3-0 last time out and will head to La Coruna full of confidence.

Deportivo, meanwhile, were well beaten by Real Madrid in their opening game before throwing away a 2-0 lead at newly promoted Levante to draw 2-2, and they will be hoping for a win to kickstart their campaign.

Genting make the hosts slight outsiders at 7/4 (2.75), while Real Sociedad are priced at 6/4 (2.50) and the draw can be backed at 12/5 (3.40).

Both teams have been involved in high scoring games so far this season, with both of their respective matches seeing over 2.5 goals, and a repeat of that is offered at 10/11 (1.91)

The corresponding fixture last season saw Depor recorded their biggest win of the campaign, triumphing by a 5-1 scoreline, with Pepe Mel's side priced at 200/1 (201.00) to repeat that result - although more realistic is opposing a particularly high scoring match.

This is the first midday kick off of the season in La Liga and this time slot oftens sees low-scoring games; a goalless first half is priced at 8/5 (2.60), which could be tempting as the players take a while to find their rhythm in the early kick off.

Also worthy of interest is the price of 19/20 (1.95) for 2-3 goals in the game, which pays out with a 1-1 draw and 2-0, 2-1 or 3-0 victories for either side. This bet has paid out in seven of Depor's last ten home games, making it seem like a solid selection for Sunday's early kick off in La Liga.
