The Senegal international scored the solitary goal to hand Tamer Tuna’s men their tenth win in the Turkish top-flight this term

Demba Ba scored the matchwinning goal in Goztepe’s 1-0 victory over Sivasspor in Sunday’s Turkish Super Lig encounter at the Doganlar Stadium.

The 32-year-old who teamed up with the Guzelyalı outfit from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua during the January transfer window marked his fourth appearance for the club with his second goal.

The striker scored the lone goal in the 35th minute after benefitting from Sabri Sarioglu’s assist and it was enough to help Tamer Tuna’s side return to winning ways having failed to secure victory in their last nine games in all competitions.

Ba along with Gabon international Andre Poko played from start to finish for the Goz Goz.

Congo international Thievy Bifouma featured for 70 minutes before he was replaced by Cote d'Ivoire's Arouna Kone in an effort to level matter but the home team held tight to the lead to ensure that Samet Aybaba’s men suffer their ninth top-flight defeat this term.
