The ex-Black Stars goalkeeper is hoping to see the Newcastle Star in his good elements against the Leopards on Sunday

Former Ghana international Abukari Damba has urged Christian Atsu to turn on the style in the Black Stars' quarter-final clash with DR Congo at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Atsu has been one of Ghana's best performers in Gabon, his heroics seeing him adjudged Man of the Match in the opening game against Uganda.

“I want to see Atsu in his element against the DRC," Damba told GTV.

"If he gets a good day, trust me the Black Stars will carry the day.

“He has been one of the players to watch at this competition and he is a delight to watch.

“He has caused problems to defenders and I hope he gets a good day when he takes on Congo on Sunday.”

Ghana are seeking to make it six Afcon semi-final berths in a row on Sunday.
