Abuja were at the fore on the second day in Ilorin while Bauchi outsmarted their Nasarawa counterparts with a late goal in a high-scoring encounter

Abuja 5-0 Plateau

Fosla Academy, Abuja hit five goals past Government Secondary School, Plateau as day two actions kicked off in Ilorin region.

Habib Kazeem’s hat trick and Mohammed Usman’s brace put the Abuja representatives in a comfortable spot for qualification to the national finals with four points.

Usman opened the scoring feast four minutes into the game before Kazeem’s double efforts put Gilbert Igwe’s boys 3 goals up before half time.

The skipper completed a fine run few minutes into the second half to net his third goal which was backed up by a well-placed penalty kick by Mohammed Usman which rounded off their victory.
 

Bauchi 4-3 Nasarawa

Fariah Foundation, Bauchi defeated Government Secondary School, Nasarawa 4-3 in an enthralling encounter in the second game of the day.

The Bauchi outfit got two early goals courtesy Hamisu Kawu and Zulkiflu Siyi but a resilient Sa’eed Abiola netted his brace in quick succession to ensure that the Nasarawa boys go into the half-time break leveled.

After the restart, Zulkiflu Siyi completed his brace to put Dansabe Maikasuwa’s boys in the lead but Faisal Abass turned up to draw his side leveled again.

Salahudeen Umar’s stoppage time goal separated both sides after a brilliant individual run by Abudllahi Isah left Nasarawa’s defence helpless.
