Comoros’ Bachirou leads Oestersunds to Europa League victory

The midfielder’s strike was enough for the Swedish topflight outfit as they defeated Jeff Strasser’s men

Fouad Bachirou scored the only goal of the game as Oestersunds got a 1-0 victory over 10-man Fola Esch in a Uefa Europa League third round qualifying tie on Thursday evening.

The French-born Comoros international gave Graham Potter’s men the lead and decider of the first leg encounter in the 50th minute.

A 78th minute red card to Mehdi Kirch saw their Luxembourg counterparts finish the tie with a man less.

The midfielder will be hoping to help his side secure a playoff spot when they head to the Stade Émile Mayrisch for the return fixture on August 3.
