Chippa United captain Sangweni linked with Bidvest Wits move

The hard-working midfielder has been linked with the PSL champions as clubs continue competing for his services

Chippa United midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni has been linked with a move to PSL champions Bidvest Wits.

The KZN-born midfielder has also been heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates for the past two seasons.

He has reportedly started training with the Students since Tuesday morning session.

His contract with the Chilli Boys will expire at the end of this month and he will be free to join any team of his choice.

The 28-year-old has played for AmaZulu, Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town.

Should he make the switch to Gavin Hunt’s title-winning side, he will no doubt be an impeccable signing that will add to an already formidable midfield compartment.

‘The General’ has made 66 apperances in all competitions for the Chilli Boys, scoring only four goals since joining from Sundowns at the start of the 2014/15 season.
