Sofapaka have returned to winning ways after beating Chemelil Sugar at home

Sofapaka beat Chemelil Sugar 1-0 to bag all points in a Kenyan Premier League match played on Saturday at Chemelil Sports Complex.

The Batoto ba Mungu went to the match from a 1-0 loss to Ulinzi Stars and they were out to bounce back. The Sam Simbwa coached side had been handed a psychological boost with the return of key defender George Maelo,who started on the bench against the Millers.

Paul Odhiambo scored the lone goal in the sixth minute followedby a cagey session with Chemelil Sugar pushing hard in search of an equalizer to no avail. Charles Pilipili almost doubled the score-line in the 25th minute but he squandered an open opportunity after beating goalkeeper Jairus Adira.

With the result, Sofapaka are now fourth on the log awaiting outcomes from other round 11 matches
