After slaying Tanzanian giants Simba SC 5-4 on post match penalties to sail to the semis on Tuesday, Nakuru All stars have now directed their guns on Gor Mahia.
All Stars coach George Maina said that the Kenyan giants should expect a mighty football test when they collide on Thursday, in the second semi-final of the on-going Super Cup tournament at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. All Stars impressed against Simba, sitting back to defend their territory, but also charging forward sporadically to attack - limiting the game to 0-0 deadlock before prevailing in the lotteries.
“Most people underrated us against Simba, but we did it. That shows the potential we have. We want to do it again when we face Gor Mahia, and it’s going to be a tough match. We won’t just make up the numbers," Maina told Goal.
Gor Mahia, Nakuru All stars and AFC Leopards have made it to the semis, while Tusker, which was also representing Kenya in the competition, has been kicked out. The winner of the inaugural competition will pocket Sh 3 million.
