Brain Birgen is among the seven players struck off Ulinzi Stars squad that will battle for a receptacle finish in the Kenyan Premier League this season.

With the KPL mid-season window expected to close on Monday midnight, Ulinzi Stars have confirmed the axe of the seven off the roster for the second leg.

Birgen joins Kevin Amwayi, Benson Sande, Collins Ochieng, Milton Wafula and Boniface Onyango, who have also been released from the first team roster, who are either redeployed or released to undertake military progression courses.

Meanwhile, the Soldiers have brought on board five fresh legs, including Geoffrey Kokoyo, who returns after a six – month progression course in Nanyuki, as well as striker Mark Barasa Bikokwa, who returns after taking a progression course in Isiolo.

Omar Boraafya is also inducted in the team after clearing his military training, as well as defender Eugene Ochieng, who formerly featured for Sony Sugar.

Elijah Mwanzia has also joined from Mathare United, and Harun Mwale from St. Joseph Youth, which plays in the National Super League (NSL).
