Ousmane Dembele has been voted Bundesliga Rookie of the Season following a remarkable first year at Borussia Dortmund.
The 19-year-old moved to BVB from Rennes last summer and hit the ground running in Germany's top flight, scoring six goals and assisting 13 more in 32 Bundesliga appearances in 2016/17.
Dembele, who also scored as Dortmund downed Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB-Pokal final, fought off competition from Schalke man Nabil Bentaleb and Wolfsburg's Riechedly Bazoer for the gong.
Freiburg’s Caglar Soyuncu and Hertha Berlin’s Jordan Torunarigha were also in the running during the vote, which involved the five 2017 winners of the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month prize.

Dembele's stellar efforts for Dortmund have led to speculation linking him with a possible switch to Barcelona in the future.
The French forward recently revealed after scoring in France's 3-2 friendly win over England that the Liga giants were interested in his services last year.
"Last year I had contact with the Barcelona sports director," he said, via Mundo Deportivo.
"I'm good at Dortmund. I have a contract until 2021. I don't pay attention to what is said."
